Midnight Sun R/C Club

The Academy of Model Aeronautics has a long and successful history in advocating for the flying privileges of the aeromodeling community. It is one of the top reasons why modelers join the AMA and renew their membership year after year.

There was a little confusion about when we would be holding indoor flying, but Derrick and I have it all straightened out now, and I just wanted to make sure everybody else was clear too.

Derrick will be at 1st Church every Thursday night except for the 1st Thursday of each month. If you haven't been there yet, you can click on one of the events to the right to see a map.

Well I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. We're already close to the end of January and the days are getting longer. Before you know it you will be dusting off your models and charging batteries. Make sure you take the time soon to renew your club and AMA membership so you are ready when the weather is. You can come to a meeting and pay your dues, or just mail it in. And AMA dues can be done online in just a couple of minutes.

Now that that's done, get busy on that winter project too! ;-)

The FAA had two representatives speak to members during AMA EXPO 2012. We still don't know what the final rulings will be, or how they will affect recreational modelers... but you can watch what they had to say here.

Well the members decided they wanted a new website, so here it is. For those members who did not attend the November meeting, an item of discussion that has come up several times before was brought to a vote, and that was the desire for a new club website.

I've built this website using a content management system, so the site is very dynamic... or "easy to make updates to". I can even completely change the way it looks using themes with a little more work.
